Wholesale of name brand clothing Versus Not Branded Clothing

A client called me recently and asked me if I think he should focus on non-brand clothes or name brand clothing.

The application is based on the following idea.

Name brand clothing is very recognizable by customers, because the brands spend millions of dollars marketing themselves. Not designer clothing, clothing primarily on small labels or imported from abroad, have no name recognition. But the downside is that no branded clothing can be bought and resold to assign less than designer clothing.

So how do you decide between the sale and name brand clothing unbranded?

For starters you need to know who your customers.

Although the following may not be politically correct is necessary to understand this.

Customers on low incomes could be the name brand clothing, but can not afford it. So even if you'd like the name brand of clothing that usually do not settle for designer clothing.

On the other hand, wealthier customers will only take designer clothing because they have more pressure in terms of keeping up with the latest styles.

Now the above is true in the theoretical world. But in the real world, everyone wants the name brand clothing.

So how do you as a dealer buy brand name clothing at prices low enough to sell to your customers poorest?

Need to purchase overstock clothing.

Overstock clothing consists of clothing that a store has not sold within a certain period of time. A department store wants to always have new merchandise on its shelves. Whatever does not sell within a certain period of time will be sold as overstock.

Since the overstock consists of brand names have a great opportunity.

You can get a hold of brand new clothing from leading brands at a fraction of the normal wholesale price.

What is the trick?

When you buy clothing overstock you will receive an assortment of styles and sizes.
You can not specify the number of pants or skirts, or formats for that matter.

So while this might discourage some people from buying overstock clothing, just think of the benefits of buying brand names like Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy, Liz Claiborne, Ecko, Baby Phat and, for a fraction of the normal wholesale price.

I insist on my site, closeoutexplosion.com, that customers will receive an assortment of brands and styles, and even the average retail price of the items I have.

In this way, retailers can decide the merits of buying and selling overstock merchandise for themselves.

While overstock clothing might not work if you need a full range of sizes for a given good, definitely works if you want to buy name brand clothing at the lowest possible wholesale prices .......
