Argentine Asado: Misuse of the Word Roast

We like to use the word ROASTED, as it is generalized and then I wonder, and even say they wonder, will have to step the Royal Academy of Language? Or we have to suggest a bill? a recommendation and because no intimation, at culinary schools? or request the cooperation of the food-related business chambers? or the unions?

Not where we should start. But something must be done to bring order to that symbol, which is the Argentine asado.

Do not forget that the Spanish Royal Academy .. speaks of "carne asada" but also Argentina and Uruguay, defines it as: "Cutting of meat for grilling, which is drawn lengthwise into strips of beef ribs."

It seems that the ideal in gastronomy have appropriated the word (sorry, symbol of the country) and have a prefix to every creature. Do not forget the saying that "every creature that walks you the spit" (add that "swim" to "fly" ...). But one thing is the grill and the other is the barbecue.

Just to confuse the younger generation. The roast is one thing. Beef (better and so there is no doubt "cow"), and ribs of the animal. Animal younger, older. Rib strip wider, thinner. Salted or unsalted. Cooked ready, juicy and well cooked. Rise (or rather "roll) on some scrap or similar, to keep heat reach fathoms. And nothing more. It's simple.

Arguably, this alert is an exaggeration. But no.

Note that we already offering "grill" with provoleta, chorizo, morcilla, riƱoncito, gizzard, chicken, and some "piece of flesh" with almost no bone ... .... That lack of respect for the harmonization barbecue.

And there is a breakthrough for those accompanying the roast, which aim to move, King shrinking spaces on the grid: empty, cover roast, flank steak, rump tail, offal, poultry, lamb, ... ... ..

Grills put a little order. Stop using the word incorrectly roast.

Example replace the name of the recipe "roast chicken" with "grilled chicken" and so with fish, pork, lamb, and "any other creature than the cow and go to stop the grid."
