Getting what you want - How to get ahead in your life and start achieving
Do not know about you, but I lived my life with "one foot on the brake and the other on the accelerator." Noah St. John teaches this phenomenon as a "Permission To Succeed" book. I never knew what I was doing. I have often wondered why he was not advancing. I knew I had a lot of talent, education, public speaking skills, networking abilities and all the right stuff, but sometimes I'd go ahead and other times I'd still be standing. My life has become a combination of adventure rafting and a whiffle ball being pushed back by the wind.
Does this sound familiar?
Everything can be quite scary. If you're not used to taking risks you will never get off the bench on the playground. The coach has nothing to do with it! Surprised? Coaches are required to set the structure, guidance, support, knowledge and training, however, if you are not willing to actively participate, is never going to happen. You simply have to watch all the others to reach and clap for them.
I got tired of cheering for everyone else. I like to clap and cheer for the people do not get me wrong, but I always had that feeling in my chest sunk, when the occasion passed by or for another day or week would pass and I had not taken or achieved my goals . I was back in the same old place. None of the moral booster hanging on the wall, goal cards, statements, or certificates made no difference. Everything looked terrible, especially when I was telling my kids to use their talents and "create" their world.
I was not doing and they were not.
The trick is to not think about anything else when the opportunity comes and act on it! It is literally a second to do this. In fact, they are not giving the inner voice that pulls back the possibility of surface (or speak). It 's like the teacher who says "Who wants this more ice cream?" and the hand goes automatically without hesitation.
Starting to look where you fall short. Look at your life, decisions and actions. You will get lots of information about you. Then, when something arrives, make a decision and act on it. Do not think about it.
So get ready to go ahead and raise your hand to the ice cream! ......
