A simple test to find out if your domain name is the best for your business
Ease of communication on the net counts for almost everything. There are an infinite number of competing sites for each product and service imaginable. Other than the government there are few monopolies in the network. The site that wins the largest number of customers is that the site makes it easier for a customer to get their hands on the product or service to the customer is looking for.
Domain names are one of the most important components of a successful online business. If you have a domain name that is easy for customers to say and remember what you've got a leg up on competition. After all, your domain name is the address of your online store. Look at it this way: the fake site is a brick and mortar store and the customer's computer is his car, how many times is going to drive around the block looking for your shop if there are a dozen others on the same block sell the same product as your own for the same price? You know the answer ...
To be sure you have chosen a domain name for your business that is easy to say and try to remember to tell someone what the name is on the phone. Call a friend or relative and tell them what the name for your site is going to be. If the line is clear and the other person has a hearing problem (and you do not have a mouthful of food), then you should understand what the domain name is the first time you speak.
If, instead, they ask you to repeat or to question the spelling, then you might want to think twice before you buy. Remember that customers are going to want to get the first time. Unlike your friends or relatives, a customer will not ask you to repeat it, no one likes to look foolish or admit their hearing is going .......
